苍耳原名葈耳,为菊科一年生宿根草本植物、根、茎、叶、花、实都入药用。远在先秦时代,此药的名称已见于诗经卷耳之章。到东汉末,神农本草经记载其医疗用途,总结了汉以前使用本品治病的一些知识和经验,是著录于医药文献的开始。此后遂渐为医家所熟悉,并广泛应用,有所发展。近年来有的地区用治麻风病,进行了较系统的临床观察,初步证明有相当满意的效果。
Xanthium, formerly known as Auricularia auricula, is used as an herbaceous plant, roots, stems, leaves, flowers, and fruits of the annual Compositae. As far back as the pre-Qin era, the name of this medicine has been found in the earrings of the Book of Songs. By the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty, Shennong Materia Medica had documented his medical use and summed up some knowledge and experience of using this product to treat diseases in the Han Dynasty. This was the beginning of the medical literature. Since then, he has become familiar with doctors and has been widely used and developed. In recent years, leprosy treatment has been used in some areas, and more systematic clinical observations have been conducted, initially demonstrating satisfactory results.
