Today, chobani has become the third largest non-refrigerated yoghurt manufacturer in the United States, and all this has only started with an adventurous decision. The Chobani yoghurt brand has triggered American consumers’ enthusiasm for Greek yoghurt. In 2007, once the product was launched, it was snapped up by the market. Chobani yogurt has become a dazzling star in the US yogurt market. The Turkish businessman Urukaya is at the helm of this brand. The 40-year-old Ulucaia was still only a merchant operating a cheese factory in New York State. Today, chobani has become the third largest non-refrigerated yoghurt manufacturer in the United States with annual sales of US$750 million, only after the industry giants Yogurt and Danone. And this all starts with an adventurous decision.
