１９９６年，在池塘设置２口面积均为２０ｍ２网箱培育乌鳢鱼种，经４２天饲养，由尾均１ｃｍ长至１０ｃｍ，尾日均净增长２．１４ｍｍ。１号箱培育出乌鳢鱼种３０５２０尾，２８４．０ｋｇ，每平方米１５２６尾、１４．２０ｋｇ，成活率７６．３％；２号箱培育２８９６０尾，２６８．４ｋｇ，每平方米１４４８尾、１３．４２ｋｇ，成活率７２．４％。
