周有光先生在《倪海曙同志和拉丁化运动》(《语文建设》1988年第3期)一文中说:“语文思潮是一起一落的,这是历史规律。‘五四’白话文高潮之后,就有文言读经运动。‘文化大革命’之后吹起一股语文复古风,‘重新发现’了文言比白话简洁优美,繁体比简体好认好写,汉字比拼音易学易用。海曙同志在这股复古风中含笑去世。”这段话在政治概念上犯有常识性的严重错误,不能不予以驳辩,以正视听。
