当代设计的总体特征由现代主义的明确性走向复杂性和模糊性,这与不同时代背景和社会工业化水平直接关联。率直而简单的现代主义方式显然无法对当下社会多层面的需求提供充分的满足。现代主义企图寻求广泛意义上的标准和规则,这无疑触动了人类最敏感的问题,即人的生存方式、行为方式、文明方式、生态状况、环境状况、人与世界相互生成的状况等等。
The overall characteristics of contemporary design from the clarity of modernism to complexity and ambiguity, which is directly related to the background of different ages and the level of industrialization. The straightforward and simple Modernist approach clearly can not provide sufficient satisfaction for the multidimensional needs of today’s society. Modernism, which seeks to seek standards and rules in a broad sense, undoubtedly touches on the most sensitive issues of humankind, namely the ways of human existence, behavior, civilization, ecological conditions, environmental conditions, the interdependent status between man and the world, and so forth.
