在我们中华民族浩瀚的书法艺术海洋里,千百年来用的书写工具是毛笔。而今,在福建却出了一位被人们称为“竹书怪杰”的王渊华。他创造了世界上独一无二的竹笔,长不过尺,貌不惊人,唯独他能运作自如,写出大如碗,小如豆,甜畅淋漓,细腻传神的各种书体,同传统的毛笔书法争相辉映,令人叹为观止。中国著名书法家赵玉林评价王渊华的竹片书法既具有铁针银钩,能人木锥沙之硬笔特点,又有气势恢宏,似龙翻虎卧之软毫效果,若软若硬介于二者之间,非软非硬,却又二者兼具,独成一格。王渊华的竹片书法在历次全国性和国际性书展、书赛中屡屡得头奖,他的作品还被收入《中国书法集萃》、《国际书法篆刻艺术大观》等10多部大型书法作品典集中。王渊华从小酷爱书法艺术,但真正用竹片代笔前后不过10年。那是一次偶然用竹筷蘸墨书写得到启发和灵感,后改用竹片更拿手,又几经改进。
