李震坚是新中国成立后国立艺术专科学校(后为浙江美术学院,现为中国美术学院)绘画系最早的毕业生,先向潘天寿学习书法和花鸟画,后又向黄宾虹学习山水,得严师亲炙又刻苦勤奋,打了坚实的传统基础,由于成绩优异留校任教,早期教授人物画课的担子主要落在他身上。李震坚出身浙江山区,秉性质朴。他的作品用笔凝练老辣,充溢着一派丰厚沉雄的气象。《井冈山的斗争》《妈妈的新课题》《风浪里成长》等都是当年很有影响的作品。他长于肖像画,特别是在写生肖像作品中表现了他极高的艺术造诣和纯真的人性寄寓。诸如:《井冈山的民
After the founding of New China, Li Zhenjian was the earliest graduate of the Painting Department of the National Art College (later known as Zhejiang Academy of Fine Arts and now the China Academy of Art). He first studied calligraphy and bird painting with Pan Tianshou, and learned landscapes from Huang Binhong. Hardworking and hard-working, and laid a solid foundation of tradition.
