我在杭州艺专读书时,学习过三年素描,但到中大艺术系旁听时,最初几张作业,常急得汗流浃背,自惭手拙。在这种情况下,在方法步骤上,我有两大转变:一是由重视色调转变为重视结构。结构就是形,而色调是形的表现手段,是不能相提并论的;二是由大体着手转变为局部着手,虽然从前艺术院校的老师都是教学生从大体着手,而素描画集里的世界名家,在其未完成的作品来看,都是从局部着手的。
When I was studying art in Hangzhou, I studied sketches for three years.
