党的十一届三中全会以来，云南民族地区一直保持了经济持续发展、社会不断进步、边疆日益安宁、民族团结和睦的良好局面。回顾总结民族地区发展最快、变化最大、各族人民得到实惠最多的二十多年，体会和感受很多，择其要者，主要有五点：（一）加强领导抓认识，是做好民族工作
Since the Third Plenary Session of the Eleventh Central Committee of the Party, Yunnan’s ethnic areas have maintained a sound situation of sustained economic development, continuous social progress, increasingly peaceful border and unity and harmony among all ethnic groups. In reviewing and summarizing the fastest growing and most varied ethnic areas in our country, the people of our various ethnic groups have enjoyed the most benefits for more than 20 years and have realized and felt many things. There are mainly five major choices for them: (1) strengthening leadership and understanding and making good the people jobs
