高分一号卫星数据质量好,光谱特征稳定,尤其在我国干旱裸露区,地表植被稀少、地形起伏较小、地势相对平缓的地区,其影像影纹特征明显,易于区分识别不同地质单元,可在矿产资源勘查、矿产资源开发调查与监测、地质灾害调查与监测等方面发挥重要作用。2m分辨率全色和8m分辨率多光谱融合影像数据基本能识别出直径大于100m的闭合地质体;宽度大于50m、长度大于250m的块状地质体;长度大于250m的线状地物(断裂),符合1:2.5万和1:5万遥感地质解译相关技术规范的要求,为区域遥感地质解译工作提供了重要数据源。
