恩格斯说,翻译马克思主义著作要“忠实而流畅”。《列宁全集》第二版中译文的校订工作,正是根据这一准则进行的。为了译文的忠实和流畅,译者极力从理论、逻辑、语法和事实的一致性上把握并表达原文,确实在校订工作中做到一丝不苟,精益求精,把高质量的译文奉献给了读者。我作为一个读者,从翻译角度学习了列宁《什么是“人民之友”以及他们如何攻击社会民主党人?》第一、二版中译文,从中获益匪浅。本文仅谈一下自己学习的点滴体会。
Engels said that translating Marxist works should be “loyal and fluid.” The revision of the translation in the second edition of Lenin’s Complete Works is based on this criterion. In order to be faithful and fluent in the translation, the translators try their best to grasp and express the original texts in terms of the consistency of theory, logic, grammar and facts. They do their utmost in the revision work and strive for excellence and dedicate high-quality translations to the readers. As a reader, I have benefited greatly from the translator’s point of view of translations of the first and second editions of Lenin’s “What is Friendship of the People” and “How Do They Attack Social-Democrats?” This article only talk about learning bit by bit experience.
