薄煤层沿空留巷的基本做法都是在工作面下顺槽上帮或垒砌矸石带,或摆木垛,或用其他坑木代用品支护顶板,巷中用加强支柱。用坑木代用品支护顶板不经济;垒砌矸石带不仅费工费时,而且当顶板来压时,易被压散、压垮,致使顶板大量下沉增加巷道维修费用。
