肌电图是用电子仪器来记录神经、肌肉的生理电活动,并以此电位的改变从波形、时程、振幅等数据中,借以判定神经、肌肉功能的方法。对运动神经元病的诊断:运动神经元病有时与颈椎病、周围神经病的肌肉萎缩难以区别,用肌电图有助于鉴别诊断。如本病在肌肉完全松弛状态下,可见:纤颤、束颤,正尖波形;轻用力时,运动单位电位(mup)时限宽、电压高;最大用力时,可有 mup 不同程度的减少,但运动神经传导速度、感觉神经传导速度正常。异常电位分布广泛。而
