β-catenin (βcatenin) is an intracellular protein involved in the adhesion between the same type of cells and Wnt signaling, both of which are closely related to the occurrence and development of tumors. In this paper, the biological characteristics and function of β-catenin and their expression in oral and maxillofacial epithelial tumors and its biological significance are reviewed
