我厂1200馬力5~#压縮机于58年11月8日发生了曲軸折断、机座損坏的重大設备事故,严重威胁了我厂生产的正常进行。在这次事故面前有两种态度:一种是为困难所嚇倒,不敢自己动手,单純依靠向外訂購;另一种是在困难面前更加顽强,坚决貫彻自力更生的方針,千方百計克服困难。我厂机动室部分老工人与工程技术人员在党的領导下,坚决采取了克服困难、自己动手的态度,破除迷信,解放思想,首先用預热缓冷的生鉄火焊方法把机座恢复,然后学习了哈尔濱焊接研究所的电渣焊先进经验,自己設計創造了簡易电渣焊机,經过多次試驗,寻找了适宜的焊接規范,将曲軸用电渣焊接法焊复,繼而用自己創造的簡易瓦斯燃烧爐对焊縫进行了局部热处理,最后用“蚂蚁啃骨头”的切削方法,将由于电渣焊及热处理后收縮变形的曲軸,加工成为合格光洁的成品。59年9月25日,1200馬力5
