国子学是中国历代王朝培植贵胃子弟的机构,是封建国家的最高学府.元朝统治者入主中原后,也因袭了汉族旧制,创建了国子学,在国子学中国子祭酒"掌学之教令",是国子监的最高行政官员.通过元朝对国子学主要官员国子祭酒的任命,也能够反映出元朝国子学的办学情况.
