华南农业科学研究所在1955年12月间举行水稻階段发育研究工作谈话会,邀请了上海植物生理研究所羅士苇、唐锡华两位同志和华东农科所俞履圻同志等前来参加。我们广州三院校的植生教师们便趁这个机会,在12月18日召集了在广州的植生工作者和羅、唐、俞三位同志举行了一次座谈会。参加的除三院校植生教师外,还有华南农大学院园艺系黄昌贤教授和热带作物研究所的曾友梅、沈利宗同志。这是在解放後在广州的植生工作者第一次最大的集会。参加的十八位同志,有的是已经认识的,有的还是第一次见面,但大家都毫无拘束,热烈地交谈,大家都十分高兴,充满了友爱的气氛。
South China Institute of Agricultural Sciences in December 1955 held a rice stage development of research talks, invited Shanghai Institute of Plant Physiology, Luo Shida, Tang Xihua two comrades and East China Agricultural Branch Comrade Yu Lvchu came to attend. Vegetarian teachers from three tertiary institutions in Guangzhou took the opportunity to convene a panel of vegetable-planting workers in Guangzhou and colleagues Luo, Tang and Yu on December 18 to hold a symposium. In addition to the three institutions of higher learning students, there are Professor Huang Changxian from Horticulture Department of South China Agricultural University and Comrade Zeng Youmei and Shen Lizong from Institute of Tropical Crops. This is the first largest gathering of plantation workers in Guangzhou after the liberation. Some of the 18 comrades attending were either already acquainted or some of them meeting for the first time. However, we all talked without any restraint and enthusiasm and everyone was very happy and filled with a friendly atmosphere.
