悬空寺在山西浑源恒山下金龙口西崖峭壁上,建于北魏,约有1400多年历史。当我来到悬空寺前,隔河仰望,简直无法想象怎么能在这样的悬崖峭壁上建成一座寺庙。悬空寺建筑非常奇妙,它处于恒山峡谷之中,两边都是百米高的峭壁,悬空寺就在西侧崖壁的半空,仿佛贴附在山崖之上,而且崖岩还有些前倾,有一种要倒下来的惊险感。全寺有殿宇楼阁40间,楼阁之间有栈道相通,栈道上石刻“公输天巧”四字,道出了悬空寺建筑最可贵之处就像公输般的工艺那么“巧”夺天工。
