在科罗拉多州西南的圣胡安山脉,是大面积第三纪火山区的一部分(图1)。在圣胡安和克里波尔克雷克的矿体已大致生产了8242吨银和8957吨金。 本文主要研究三个方面: 1)概述圣胡安火山区的地质;2)描述了金银矿床的主要类型;3)对类似矿床提出勘探准则。 根据特定矿山的特性和每类矿床的远景确定出三种主要矿床类型。
The San Juan Mountains, southwest of Colorado, are part of a large area of volcanic Tertiary volcano (Figure 1). Ore mines in San Juan and Kripperc have roughly produced 8,242 tons of silver and 8,957 tons of gold. This paper focuses on three aspects: 1) an overview of the geology of the San Juan volcanic region; 2) a description of the major types of gold and silver deposits; and 3) exploration criteria for similar deposits. Three main types of deposits are identified based on the characteristics of a particular mine and the prospects of each type of deposit.
