一九七八年二月十二日5时30分35.4秒,盱眙县渔沟公社(33°7.5′N,118~035′E)发生2.8级有感地震。此后五天内,在原地附近发生微小震8次。震后,对这次地震的地声作专门调查,调查范围包括盱眙全境23个公社及毗邻的洪泽、泗洪县5个镇。被调查人数为284人,调查对象的选定,采取“随机抽样”的原则。其中有99人听到地声,占34.9％,感到地晃动或门窗响的有150人,占52.8％。
