向忠发是我们党继陈独秀、瞿秋白之后第三任中央的“总书记”。这里所说的“总书记”,是习惯称呼(下同)。实际上,按照中共六大通过的新党章和第六届中央政治局第一次会议选举的结果,均不称“总书记”,而是称“中共中央政治局主席和中央常委会主席”。但是长期以来,在党内外并没有人称他“主席”,而是习惯称他为“总书记”,这可谓“约定俗成”了。
Xiang Zhongfa is the “General Secretary” of our party after Chen Duxiu and Qu Qiubai after the third Central Committee. The “general secretary” mentioned here is a custom term (the same applies hereinafter). In fact, according to the results of the new party constitution passed by the Sixth Congress of the CCP and the election of the first meeting of the Sixth Central Political Bureau, they are neither “general secretary” nor “the chairman of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and the chairman of the Central Standing Committee.” However, for a long time, nobody in the party has called him a “chairman” but used to call him the “general secretary.” This is a “common custom.”
