Objective: To investigate the ultrasound manifestations of partial fetal limb loss and the clinical significance of prenatal diagnosis of fetal limb loss by continuous sequential ultrasound. Methods: The data of pregnant women who were diagnosed with prenatal ultrasound in Tianjin Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital from July 2007 to September 2010 were collected, and the characteristics of their ultrasound images were compared. Results: A total of 29 cases of fetal limb defects were found. Among them, 25 cases affected upper limbs, accounting for 86.2%; 2 cases affected lower limbs, accounting for 6.9%; 2 cases affected limbs, accounting for 6.9%. There were 16 cases of vertical limb loss, accounting for 55.2%; 13 cases of lateral limb loss, accounting for 44.8%. Other deformities combined 16 cases, accounting for 55.2%. CONCLUSIONS: Although many fetal limbs are subject to X-ray examination or postnatal diagnosis, a complete ultrasound examination of the fetus in the correct sequence and method reveals that morphological changes are still diagnosed by prenatal ultrasound The key to sexual limb loss.
