20世纪是文学艺术不断更新的时代,随着语言哲学思潮的流行和语言能指功能的扩展,文字的自身逻辑变化成为艺术的目的。文艺的审美价值削弱,作家的人文价值淡化;另一方面,随着市场经济的全面确立,由于社会资源占有的差别以及竞争的不公平性使得贫富差距越来越大,不少人无节制地追求物欲的满足,致使其道德沦丧,信念无存。有感于此,中国社会科学院文学所研究员钱中文先生以追求社会和谐为己任,以寻觅精神的提升为目标,提出了“新理性精神”文学论。这一理论得到了学界的广泛认可,但也有人提出异议。为此,有必要对其进行深入的讨论。
