第25届夏季奥运会,将于1992年在西班牙东北部的美丽城市巴塞罗那举行。在过去的整整64年当中,西班牙政府曾四度申请奥运会的主办权。经过不懈的努力和争取,勇敢、豪放、酷爱体育运动的西班牙人民,总算实现了多年的愿望。 1988年在汉城举行的第24届夏季奥运会被公认为是办得最成功的一次。为了比汉城奥运会更胜一筹,素以美术、音乐及现代建筑驰名于世的巴塞罗那,正以百倍的热情和最快的速度重新塑造自己。西班牙是斗牛士的故乡,也是足球运动盛行的地方,以男女老幼都酷爱斗牛运动和足球运动而闻名全球。若干年来,佛朗哥的独裁统治曾给西班牙的历史蒙上一片阴影。佛朗哥政权倒台之后,西班牙人民齐心合力扫清黑暗统治遗留下来的尘垢污迹,实施开放引进政策,积极吸收外资,开发国际市场,加快了国民经济发展的步伐。西班牙加入欧洲共同市场仅三年
The 25th Summer Olympic Games, will be held in Barcelona in 1992 in the beautiful city of northeast Spain. In the past 64 years, the Spanish government has applied for hosting the Olympic Games for four times. After tireless efforts and strive for, brave, bold, sports-loving Spanish people finally achieved many years of desire. The 24th Summer Olympic Games held in Seoul in 1988 are widely recognized as the most successful one. To be better than the Seoul Olympic Games, Barcelona, famous for its fine arts, music and modern architecture, is reshaping itself with a hundredfold enthusiasm and the fastest speed. Spain is the hometown of bullfighters and is also a popular place for football, known all over the world for its love of bullfighting and football. For some years, Franco’s dictatorship cast a shadow over the history of Spain. After Franco’s regime collapsed, the Spanish people worked together to clear away the grime and smudges left over by the dark rule, implemented the policy of opening up and introduction, actively absorbing foreign investment, developing the international market and speeding up the pace of national economic development.
