With the popularity of e-paper readers and e-books, which once again lead to the discussion of the pros and cons of paper reading and e-reading, many people estimate that e-reading is an inevitable trend in the digital age. On the other hand, people who use paper as the main medium for reading media do not oppose electronic reading. However, they think that these technologies are far less advanced than printing technology and the time is not mature enough. They still need time to develop and need more time for most readers to adapt. The New York Times recently invited some scholars to put forward academic views on e-reading and reading on paper. This is different from the two-pole debate on this issue that we normally take on day-to-day basis, choosing the main points and discussing with readers.
