随着关岛引进外籍劳务的合法化,在当地经营劳务及工程承包的公司迅速发展。根据1991年底关岛劳工部的统计资料,共有6千多合法劳务工人从事各种工程建设。劳工来源国别分布如下:中国2180人;菲律宾2140人;韩国1447人;马来西亚157人;泰国199人;印尼34人。自80年代初开始,关岛掀起了兴建高级旅馆、办公楼及交通工程的高潮,1990、1991年达到高峰,其中1991年上马的大型项目就有5个。这也是劳务市场的最高峰。
With the legalization of the introduction of foreign labor in Guam, the companies that operate labor services and engineering contracting locally have developed rapidly.
