一张报纸的面貌如何,反映了办报人的思想、业务水平。有一支业务精湛的编辑、记者队伍,反映到报面上来,报道和文章必定是高水平的。因此,要提高报纸质量,重要方面之一,就是要有一支业务上过得硬的队伍。而要培养一支过得硬的编辑、记者队伍,非要抓业务学习不可。钻研新闻业务,涉及的方面很多,这里仅就其荦荦大者谈点看法。一、要养成手不释卷的习惯我读旧报人的文章,常为他们渊博的学识、深湛的见解和优美的文采所折服。比如,像王韬、梁启超、章太炎、张季鸾等人的政治评论,就非常好看。他们中有的人恐怕不能算职业新闻工作者,但偶尔涉足时评,却满纸生辉。特别是梁启超、章太炎,堪称学界泰山北斗,读书之丰富,即使在高级知识分子中亦颇有美称。当然在无产阶级新闻事业的先驱老中,也不乏陈独秀、李大钊、瞿秋白等等大手笔、大学问家。举这些例子无非是想说,追求知识、苦学不倦,
