古代建筑最重要的我以为有两类:一是古代的民居,就是老百姓居住的地方。古代民居给人的最主要的感觉是安闲,安闲是怎样来的呢?我以为最重要的一点就是得有院子,院子是我们居所里留白的地方,刚好与实在的居所虚实相生。我们现在的居所大抵都是粗陋与紧张的功利之物,无任何安闲之态,其主要原因就是没有院子,没有留白,只有功利之实,而无精神之虚。过去的居所都很真诚,有很诚心、很恭敬、很绵长的为居住者服务的精神,所谓两情相悦,越住才能越欢喜。也就是说,过去的房子不仅是物与人,更是心与心的关
The most important thing in ancient architecture is that I think there are two kinds: First, the ancient houses are the places where ordinary people live. The most important feeling given by ancient dwellings is peace and tranquility. What I think is the most important thing is that we have to have a yard. The yard is a place where we stay in white, and it just happens to coincide with the real dwelling. Most of our present residence is roughly utilitarian, rough and tense, without any peace of mind. The main reason is that there is no yard, no blank, only utilitarian reality, and no spiritual deficiency. The homes of the past were very sincere and there was a very sincere, respectful and long-term spirit of serving the occupants. In other words, the past houses are not only objects and people, but also the heart and mind.
