在国务院新闻办公室举办的“2011年工业通信业发展情况和2012年工业通信业发展形势发布会”上,工信部党组成员、总工程师朱宏任指出,截至2011年12月底,我国3G用户规模达到1.28亿户,当年净增8137万户。这意味着3G用户规模已经处于一个加速增长的阶段。同时,随着智能手机的普及,一方面手机音乐、手机视频、手机阅读、手机游戏、移动电子商务与手机支付等3G增值业务发展迅猛,物联网、三网融合等战略性新兴产品也初露端倪。另一方面,杀毒、SNS、位置服务等传统互联网业务也在向手机快速转移,3G的产业生态发生了根本性的转变。面对这种快速发展的良好态势,电信运营商如何把握机遇,通过提升核心竞争力取得可持续性发展成为紧迫而重要的战略问题。
