Toyo Tire Rub-ber Co. announced plans to invest 150 million U.S. dollars to build a new plant in the United States for passenger cars and light truck tires. The new plant will be located in the eastern United States and is expected to go into operation in 2006 with an annual production capacity of 2 million passenger cars and light truck tires, initially employing 350 workers.
