在《彩虹》之后劳伦斯又写了《恋爱中的妇女》(Women in Love)。大家都知道他原来要写一部名为《姐妹》的长篇,后来改了念头,写了《彩虹》和《恋爱中的妇女》。二者并没有内在联系,只有几个人物相同而已.因此我们当应将后者做为一本独立的作品来评价,同时自然也要看到它在艺术和思想方面与前者的关系。
Lawrence wrote “Women in Love” after Rainbow. Everyone knew that he had to write a long book called “Sisters,” later changed his mind and wrote “Rainbow” and “Women in Love.” There is no intrinsic connection between the two, and only a few characters are the same, so we should evaluate the latter as an independent work, and naturally we should also see its relationship with the former in terms of art and thought.
