国际汽车业在发动机领域的竞争是十分激烈的。过去美、日一般四五年就更换一个车型,现在只需三年到三年半就要换型,且以发动机的换型为先导。从60年代以来,我国的轻型车一直以492Q型汽油机作为主要的动力装置。随着国内外汽车业的发展,这种多年一贯制的产品就显得相形见绌了。军转民以来,111厂引进日本技术,开发了属2升机的486Q、491Q型汽油机,已分别于1987年和1990年通过鉴定,并开始批生产。这两个型号的汽车发动机在转速、体积、加速性、油耗、排放和可靠性方面具有492Q汽油机无法比拟的优越性。尤其是在燃油经济性与环境保护方面、更令汽车行业青睐。
The international automotive industry in the engine competition is very fierce. In the past, the United States and Japan generally changed their car models in four or five years. Now it takes only three years to three and a half years to change models, and takes the engine’s transformation as a precursor.
