正常的年轻女性每月都会排卵。一个卵子在卵巢内成熟后,从卵巢排出,经由输卵管输送到子宫中,怀孕过程是通过一个成熟的卵子在输卵管中与精子结合来完成的。精子在女性生殖道内约可存活24～72小时,而一个卵子适宜受精的时间只大约在排卵后24～36小时内。在女性每个月经周期,尿液中的黄体生成激素(LH)会在排卵前24～48小时内出现高峰值,排卵试条能准确地检测出LH的峰值水平,使女性能预知最佳的受孕时间。
Normal young women ovulate every month. After an egg has matured in the ovary, it is excreted from the ovary and delivered to the uterus via the fallopian tubes.
