中国共产党自1921年成立后就在上海开展工人运动,到了1927年3月,在北伐胜利进军和工农运动猛烈发展的情况下,上海工人在中国共产党领导下,举行第三次武装起义,打败北洋军阀的直鲁联军,胜利地占领了除租界以外的上海市区。但是蒋介石自1927年3月起公开反共,3月26日到达上海,不久便制造了“四·一二”反革命政变,
After the founding of the Communist Party of China in 1921, the workers’ movement took hold in Shanghai.
