安徽省地处华东沿海地区向内地的过渡地带,属华东腹地,闪跨长江、淮河,是沿海地区和内地经济联系的桥梁和纽带,也是人口大省、能源大省和农业大省,交通地位十分重要。合理布局交通运输网络,积极利用我省的水资源优势,充分发挥水运在国民经济特别是在交通运输网中的作用;重点开发皖北能源带、沿江经济带和皖南旅游带的水运,对我省乃至全国经济发展都有着极为重要的意义。
