我国著名的马克思主义史学家、文学家,久经考验的无产阶级革命老战士,中国人民大学历史系主任,北京市史学会副会长,北京市政协常委,《历史教学》月刊编委尚钺同志,不幸于1982年1月6日因病在北京逝世,终年八十岁。尚钺同志号健庵,原名尚宗武,1902年生于河南罗山县。 1919年“五四”运动爆发,正在河南开封省立第二中学读书的尚钺同志积极参加了河南省及开封市的爱国运动,是当时河南省学生运动的主要负责人之一。1921年他考入北京大学,先后在预科和本科英国文学系学习。这时,他在鲁迅先生的指导下,开始从事进步文学活
