赤霉病是为害小麦主要病害之一。麦株感病后,不但严重影响产量,造成歉收,且使粉质变劣,病麦作粮食或饲料常引起人畜中毒。近年来,我省小麦赤霉病的发生面积逐年扩大,一九七三年估计达七十多万亩,以闽北山区发病较重,如浦城、建阳、顺昌等县,病穗率达百分之七十左右。沿海平原麦区,以往很少发生,去年受害也较普遍,莆田县北高公社四月上旬“青海麦”病穗率达百分之五。此病在我省每年都有发生,其为害程度受品种、菌源、气候和栽培管理等因素所影响。
Fusarium head blight is one of the major diseases that damage wheat. Wheat disease, not only seriously affect the yield, resulting in poor harvest, and deterioration of silty, sick wheat for food or feed often cause human and animal poisoning. In recent years, the occurrence area of wheat scab in our province has been expanding year by year. In 1973, it was estimated at more than 700,000 mu. Coastal plain wheat area, rarely occurred in the past, the victims were also more common last year, Putian County North High commune in early April “Qinghai wheat ” disease spike rate of 5%. The disease occurs in our province every year, the degree of harm affected by species, fungi, climate and cultivation management and other factors.
