[摘要]非谓语动词是高中英语非常重要的语法项目,在书面表达题中如能正确恰当地使用,能帮助学生获取高分。

非谓语动词是高中英语非常重要的语法项目,在书面表达题中如能正確恰当地使用,能帮助学生获取高分。要教会学生运用非谓语动词,首先得让学生知道非谓语动词的句法功能。我设计了一些相关的句子,让学生总结出非谓语动词在句中的成分。
在第一组句子中,非谓语动词充当状语:
1. Li Hongrui is thinking hard to translate the sentence correctly.
2. I tried my best to translate the sentence, only to find my translation was wrong.
3. We are now sitting in the big classroom, admiring our teacher’s excellence and elegance.
4. Praised by the students, I am more confident.
在第二组句子中,非谓语动词充当定语:
1. Every day he is the last student to come back to the classroom.
2. We enjoyed the party held yesterday.
3. The party being held now is very interesting.
4. We are looking forward to the party to be held tomorrow.
在第三组句子中,非谓语动词充当宾语:
1. Remember to call me.
2. I remember seeing him somewhere.
3. Don’t forget to help me send the letter.
在第四组句子中,非谓语动词充当补足语:
1. I looked up from my book and found Mary sleeping.
2. He woke up and found himself locked in a room.
在最后一组句子中,非谓语动词充当主语和表语:
1. Practicing handwriting is our everyday task.
2. To play outdoors is what we want.
3. Our everyday task is practicing handwriting.
4. What we want is to play outdoors.
通过对这些句子的观察和体会,学生们总结出,非谓语动词在句子中可以作状语、定语、宾语、补足语、主语和表语,不作谓语。了解了非谓语动词的句法功能后,接下来引导学生在写作中运用非谓语动词。我共设计四个活动。
第一个活动,用非谓语动词将两个句子结合成一个句子。如:
1. I am writing to invite you to come back for the ceremony. I represent all the students.
2. You can deliver a speech. You can offer some advice on our study.
3. We will be encouraged by you. We will develop a positive attitude towards life.
学生可以这样结合:
1. Representing all the students, I am writing to invite you to come back for the ceremony.
2. You can deliver a speech, offering some advice on our study.
3. Encouraged by you, we will develop a positive attitude towards life.
第二个活动,改正常见的非谓语动词使用错误。如:
1. Represent my classmates, I am writing to invite you to our poetry recital party.
2. Recite poems will be the highlight of the party.
3. I’m writing to invite you to the party held on the Midautumn Day.
第三个活动,我给出两张图片,让学生根据图片的内容,用非谓语动词造一个句子。
第四个活动,用非谓语动词提出建议,帮助焦虑的考生缓解压力。
这四个活动,由浅入深,先是改错误,然后造句子,最后写段落,学生一步步学会如何在写作中正确运用非谓语动词。
整堂课中我采用不同的教学方法。在总结非谓语动词在句中所作的成分时,我采用归纳法,让学生通过观察句子,自己总结,我稍作指导,培养学生独立学习、独立解决问题的能力。在设计活动对非谓语动词进行运用时,我采用情境教学法,展示图片,让学生运用非谓语动词造句。最后根据学生生活创设情境,让学生用非谓语动词提出缓解考试压力的建议,话题贴近学生生活,让学生有话可说。在设计练习题时,我采用控制和半控制操练相结合的方式,既能锻炼学生的实际应用能力,又能发挥学生的想像力和创造力。整堂课自始至终采用合作探究式教学,学生小组合作完成任务,既提高课堂效率,又能培养学生互相合作的意识。
