植被护坡是生态护坡中最重要一类,是植物和土壤的有机结合,除了有防洪、排涝及保持水土等护坡功能,还有一定的景观效应和生态修复功能,防止N、P及重金属等化学物质进入河道进而污染受纳水体。文章介绍了目前植被护坡技术主要的应用类型,系统地归纳了各个技术的构建方法、适用范围及技术特点,同时,文章较详细的总结了植物的作用机理及选择情况。一直以来由于缺乏对植物护坡的定量化研究及效益分析,造成建成后的植被护坡得不到更好的管理及后期维护建设,所以为了更好的管理植被护坡,为护坡的建设提供一定的理论依据及评价标准,文章提出了植被护坡构建成后的一些评价方法,包括植被护坡的稳定性评价、水土保持性评价、净化能力评价以及生物多样性评价。
