Shopping in cyberspace Just as retailers across North America are struggling to respond to warehousing sales and supermarkets, another threat has emerged, this time from cyberspace. One of the biggest benefits offered by the Internet is the ability to shop directly from the computer keyboard. You can shop at home or in the office, or if you have a laptop and a mobile phone, you can shop anywhere 24 hours a day. There are no local laws that prohibit you from shopping on Sundays or at certain times. Provincial, municipal and state legislation can not be controlled, and consumers can shop anytime, anywhere. This is the biggest benefit of the Internet!
