Introduction Acicular γ-Fe 2 O 3 magnetic powder is one of the most widely used magnetic materials. Preparation of acicular γ-Fe_2O_3 can be divided into two parts: the preparation of iron yellow (α-FeOOH) and iron yellow heat treatment. This article focuses on the heat treatment process for preparing acicular γ-Fe_2O_3 starting from α-FeOOH. Discussion is divided into four parts: the basic process of heat treatment; affect the heat treatment process
