由中国建筑科学研究院建筑机械化研究所分别与沈阳市建筑施工机械厂、合肥工业大学机电厂共同研制的GW32型、GW40型钢筋弯曲机于1986年11月相继在沈阳和合肥通过了部级技术鉴定。这两种新型的钢筋弯曲机都是在参照国外样机的基础上并结合我国的具体国情研制成功的换代新产品。其中GW32弯曲机填补了我国钢筋弯曲机系列产品的空白。这两种弯曲机能满足建筑施工现场及混凝土预制构件厂弯曲各种形状钢筋的需要。GW32型和GW40型钢筋弯曲机是具有结构相似性的两种弯曲机。它们都是由台面、机架、传动系统、电器箱、角度预选机构、脚踏开关等组成。GW32钢筋弯曲机由双速带制动电机三角皮带驱动圆柱齿轮减速器带动工作盘旋转,GW40钢筋弯曲机则由双速带制动电机直接驱动齿轮减速器带
The GW32 and GW40 steel bending machines jointly developed by the Institute of Construction Mechanization of the Chinese Academy of Building Research and the Shenyang Construction Machinery Plant and Hefei University of Technology respectively passed the ministerial technology in Shenyang and Hefei in November 1986. The GW40 rebar bending machine is directly driven by a double-speed brake motor with a gear reducer belt.
