小学是儿童成长的初始阶段,是儿童接受新鲜事物的最初时期,加强思想品德教育对儿童一生的成长都有重要作用。儿童往往对最初感知的事物记忆更为深刻,思想品德的形成不是短期能完成的,而是需要长期积累的。我们每个人的许多行为习惯,都是在儿童时期形成的。如果小学阶段儿童培养了良好的品德行为习惯,这样在他们今后的成长过程中就会根深蒂固,促使更好地发展。相反,如果在这个时期学生没有接受到来自家庭或学校好的思想教育,形成了不良的思想和行为习惯,将很难纠正,甚至会影响他今后一生的发展。
