国家研究开发机构(NRDO: National Research Development Organizations)会议是1973年在英国研究开发公司(现在的英国技术集团)的提议下召开的。会议的宗旨是为各国从事应用科学和发明的开发,企业化以及实施许可的政府机构及公共机构,提供相互交流经验、研讨业务和探讨密切协作的可能性和机会。自1973年以来,曾先后在米兰、巴黎、西雅图、慕尼黑、斯德哥尔摩和京都召开。第七届国家研究开发型机构会议于1084年10月17—18日在日本京都国立京都国际会馆召开,有18个国家(美国,英国、澳大利亚、巴西、加拿大、丹麦、法国、西德、日本等国)的22个机构的34名
The NRDO: National Research Development Organizations was convened in 1973 at the suggestion of a British research and development company (now British technology group). The purpose of the conference is to provide government agencies and public institutions engaged in the development, enterprise and licensing of applied sciences and inventions in various countries to exchange experiences, discuss business and explore possibilities and opportunities for close collaboration.
