枣庄市峄城区总面积635平方公里,全区辖7个镇街,343个行政村(居),36．4万人,是全国生态示范县和“中国石榴之乡”、“中国芸豆之乡”。峄城北依枣庄市区,南与台儿庄区毗邻,东与临沂市苍山县接壤,西与薛城区相连。自西汉设县以来,在历代兴替沿革中一直是州县治所,1962年建制为市辖区。峄城历史悠久,文化灿烂,名人辈出,苟子、匡衡、王良、贾三近等都是峄城历史上的名人。2005年,全区生产总值实现48．38亿元,增长16．3%；地方财政收入13亿元,增长12．5%：农民人均纯收入4179元,增长12%；规模以上固定资产投资16．62亿元,增长55%；实际利用外资19．6亿元,增长21．9%。2006年1-8月份,地方财政收入14050万元,增长25%；规模以上固定资产投资17．9亿元,增长41．7%；实际利用外资15．35亿元,增长26．2%。上半年全区生产总值实现27．30亿元,增长15．8%,农民人均纯收入2391元,增长13．4%；党的建设、精神文明建设、民主法制建设、和谐社会建设都有新的进展。
Zaozhuang Tancheng District, a total area of 635 square kilometers, the district administer 7 town streets, 343 administrative villages (Habitat), 36.4 million people, is the national ecological demonstration counties and “hometown of Chinese pomegranates,” “Chinese country of kidney beans ”. Gaocheng north according to Zaozhuang urban area, south and Taierzhuang adjacent to the east and Cangshan County, Linyi City, bordering the west and connected to Xuecheng District. In 2005, the GDP of the entire district reached 4.8838 billion yuan, an increase of 16.3%; that of local governments was 1.3 billion yuan, an increase of 12.5%: the per capita net income of peasants was 4,179 yuan, up 12%; investment in fixed assets above designated size 1.662 billion yuan, an increase of 55%; the actual utilization of foreign capital 1.96 billion yuan, an increase of 21.9%. From January to August 2006, the local fiscal revenue was 140.5 million yuan, up 25%; the fixed asset investment above the designated size was 1.79 billion yuan, up 41.7%; the actually utilized foreign investment was 1.535 billion yuan, up 26.2%. In the first half of the year, the GDP of the entire district reached 2730 million yuan, an increase of 15.8%. The per capita net income of farmers was 2391 yuan, an increase of 13.4%. Party building, spiritual civilization, democracy and legal system building and building a harmonious society all had new progress.
