More than a year ago, in his book “The Analects of Confucius and Villagers”, Confucius said in his passage “Do not Remove Ginger, Eat Less.” The passage means that he does not eat ginger all year long but does not eat much. According to other historical records, Confucius has a habit of chewing ginger tablets after each meal. At the age of 73, Confucius was pretty lofty at the time when “life was seventy to old”. There are many factors that govern the longevity of Confucius. However, there is indeed a close connection with his health care and hygiene method that he uses fresh ginger for his health. Confucius’s comments on Ginger were followed by many others. There is ginger in the relics unearthed at the Mawangdui Han Tomb, Changsha, Hunan Province. It can be seen that dignitaries in the Han Dynasty liked to eat ginger before their death,
