瑞光２号黄肉油桃和瑞光３号白肉油桃是１９８１年以母本京玉、父本ＮＪＮ７６杂交育成。２品种果实于７月上中旬成熟，果个大，风味甜，外形美观，丰产，为国内首先育成的早熟油桃新品种之一。瑞光２号个别年份有轻微裂果现象，经多年试验，通过套袋可解决。１９９７年７月通过北京市农作物品种审定委员会审定并命名，先后在北京、河北、辽宁、河南、山东等地进行区试。目前示范面积瑞光２号超过３３３．３ｈｍ２（公顷），瑞光３号超过１３３３ｈｍ２。
