I. Introduction Pavlov believes that bromine and its compounds are potent weapons for the treatment of nervous system diseases. Pavlov said: ’... humans should be happier because they have a very valuable preparation for the nervous system like bromine.’ However, in order for bromine to have a good therapeutic effect, it must be used correctly. Doctors not only understand the mechanism of action of bromine, in particular, the precise choice of their indications and contraindications and the dose to each patient. 1. Bromine distribution in the body Bromine is an indispensable component of human cells and tissues. The amount of bromine in the blood is usually 0.2-0.4 mg%; when it is reduced to 0.1 mg%, bromine is no longer discharged from the urine. The concentration of bromine in most organs of the human body is between about 1 and 2 mg%, except in the pituitary gland where the concentration of bromine can reach 15-30 mg%.
