农业保险是推动现代农业,确保农业可持续发展的关键因素。我国农业保险还处于起步阶段,与世界农业保险发展较好的国家相比相对滞后和缓慢。近年来,随着社会对“三农”问题的关注,农业保险越来越引起我国学术界和政府的高度重视,我国应借鉴国际经验,对财政政策在农业保险方面支持的传统做法进行改革创新,加大农业保险的财政支持力度是我国农业保险发展的现实选择。
