江苏各地农村今年出现了一批钢筋混凝土构件和制品。其中包括各种农村住宅的构件、水泥农船、水泥电线杆、水泥管道、钢筋混凝土桥面等等。这些水泥制品和构件既坚固、耐用,又节约了大量木材。江苏省各地建筑工业部门为农村设计和建造的第一批钢筋混疑土结构的住宅,7月份完成了四百九十八套,开始在徐州、扬州、镇江、无锡等地农村使用。这些新住宅是根据各地农民的生活习惯设计的。如在徐州地区建造的住宅,适应北方人的住屋习惯,一户三室的面积约四十平
